Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do your mobile bar packages include alcohol?

No. Due to provincial laws, we cannot provide alcohol, purchase alcohol on your behalf or obtain a Special Occasion permit (SOP) so we are what you would call a dry hire. We can however, provide you guidance and a full shopping list for alcohol based on your anticipated guest counts to make it easier. A Special Occasions Permit (SOP) is required any time alcohol is served anywhere other than in a licensed establishment or a private residence. It's very easy to apply and it's all online at the link provided. https://www.agco.ca/en

  • How much time does it take to set Bo up and can he stay longer if we are having fun?

Typically, we want to be onsite 2 hours before we are planned to begin serving at your event. If needed this can be shortened, however we will want to ensure that there are no issues so a site visit prior to the event would be highly recommended.

As far as staying longer, as long as we do not have a prior commitment for something after your event, we can stay. We do however charge $150.00 per hour for extra time.

Our package pricing is inclusive of setup time and tear down, so if you are hiring us for 7 hours, you get 7 hours of serving time.

  • How do I reserve Bo?

The first step would be to send an email to theroamingbodega@gmail.com with your dates. We’ll contact you to confirm availability and further discuss your event details. Your date will be reserved upon receipt of a signed rental contract and 25% deposit via etransfer. Payment of the remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your event.

  • Where does Bo Go?

The Roaming Bodega lives in London, Ontario. Travel up to 50 kilometers from London is included in the quoted price. If your venue is more than 50 kilometers from London, you would incur a $0.75 per kilometer round trip fee add

  • How much space does Bo need?

Bo would prefer to be within 50 feet of one standard 110V electrical outlet. He’s not huge, but we would need enough room to pull our truck and trailer through, turn around and park. Level ground is always preferred. That means Bo might not fit in your backyard, but he likely will fit at most outdoor venues. Once set up, Bo does like to be the center of attention, so ideally you should plan to have at least a 10 x 10 footprint so there is room for him, décor and guests.

  • What if there is no electrical connection?

We have a small generator that can be included for $100 and includes up to 8 hours of continuous run time. We just need to know at the time of booking if you require us to include it in your package.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

You can receive a full refund if you cancel at least 30 days before your event date. Unfortunately, cancellations made within 30 days of the event will forfeit the deposit, and cancellations made within 14 days will be charged the full amount.

  • What is the plan if it rains?

Rain or shine, we're ready to roll! Our roaming trailer is fully operational even in wet weather. If your event moves indoors, we can still provide our satellite bar service. If your event is cancelled due to rain, rescheduling may be possible depending on availability and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
